Thaksgiving

A little late.  Okay, maybe a lot late, but here it is Thanksgiving!  We got to celebrate twice with two different groups of friends.  In October, we met a new family that lives out in Peng Chau, a 30 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong island.  They invited us to their annual Thanksgiving potluck.  It was a lot of fun!  Peng Chau was beautiful.  Their house was incredible and right next to the beach.  Perfection!  It was a 1/2 mile walk form the ferry pier to their place and with no cars on the island, living there would be quiet the adventure.  

We celebrated the next Saturday with a group of our close friends.  It was simply lovely to get together.  We had a delicious feast and lots of fun talking and laughing about our Hong Kong adventures.  It was also full of kids, with 12 kids in the group.  There wasn't a time when a kid wasn't crying.

Calvin had a blast.  I don't think he ate anything though.  As soon as we left the party, he asked for something to eat.

 Our tables.  We had the dinner at the Wright's clubhouse and the room was basically a hotel conference room.  Not the coziest, but it was nice that we all fit!  None of us have apartments big enough to handle our big group.

We have been amazed and humbled by the people we meet here in Hong Kong.  They are loving and generous and fun.  These are forever friends here.  It would have only been better if more of our forever friends were here.  Why can't we all live in the same place?
